Project information
Nailson is a cultural identity and creative direction project developed for the Brazilian folk musician Nailson Vieira, an emerging artist rooted in the popular music traditions of Pernambuco.
I led this project from strategic definition through creative execution and final delivery, shaping both the conceptual foundation and the visual expression of his artistic narrative. Beginning with a deep engagement with Nailson’s cultural influences — including maracatu, ciranda, coco de roda, and his personal artistic trajectory — I defined the project’s strategic positioning to reflect his identity as a contemporary voice rooted in tradition.
With this strategy as the guiding foundation, I directed the creative vision and delivered a cohesive suite of assets including visual communication elements, artistic concept support, photo shoot direction, live costume design, and graphic applications that amplify Nailson’s unique voice and presence. The work was executed collaboratively with photographer Hugo Munizz and contributed to defining the visual landscape for Nailson’s musical release Sou, Estou.
The resulting identity system and creative direction articulate a culturally rich, expressive visual language that supports Nailson’s artistic evolution and positions him with clarity and distinction within Brazil’s contemporary music scene.
